Xtera Gets $30M, CEO

published Optical-networking company Xtera has raised $30 million in funding and named Jon Hopper president and CEO.
Xtera sells long-haul dense-wave-division-multiplexing transport, among other products.
Investors include New Enterprise Associates, Sevin Rosen Funds, ComVentures and STAR Ventures.
Paul Colan also joined the company as chief financial officer. Jon Bayless remains chairman.
